AI agent · Insurance & mortgage brokers

Complete files, ready for the broker.

Brokers spend hours chasing documents and asking the same intake questions. Ben does that part, and hands the licensed broker a complete file with a summary. It never gives advice: the broker stays responsible.

Ben is ZeniTech’s AI agent for insurance and mortgage brokerages. It qualifies quote and renewal requests, sends and tracks document checklists, and reminds clients of upcoming deadlines, by phone, text, email and on your website. Like every ZeniTech agent, it also handles prospecting, email campaigns, commission tracking, analytics and security monitoring.

What Ben does for a brokerage

Ben does the intake and the follow-up. The broker does the advice, the underwriting conversation and the decision.

  • Quote requests for auto, home and business: the required information collected before a broker picks it up
  • Mortgage files: the document checklist sent, tracked and followed up
  • Renewals: every expiry date reminded to the client ahead of time
  • Missing documents chased until the file is complete
  • Handoff to the broker: a clean file with a summary, ready to review
  • Life changes and new needs noted over the course of conversations

A day with Ben

An example of a normal day once Ben is live. Illustrative, not a client case.

  • 7:20 am — An auto quote request. Ben collects the vehicle, the drivers and the claims history
  • 9:00 am — Clients whose policy renews next month receive a reminder
  • 11:30 am — The missing documents for a mortgage file are requested from the client
  • 2:45 pm — A complete file is handed to the broker, with a summary
  • 6:10 pm — A question about a deductible: general information, then a handoff to the broker
  • 9:00 pm — A new client fills in a request on your website

Guardrails

In a regulated profession, what the agent does not do matters as much as what it does.

  • Never gives financial, insurance or mortgage advice: the broker stays responsible
  • Never binds coverage and never confirms a loan
  • Applies your regulatory obligations and privacy rules as you define them
  • Answers from your documents and rules, not from general knowledge
  • Every conversation can be reviewed; you correct it, and it adjusts

Frequently asked questions

Can Ben advise my clients?

No. Ben collects information, prepares the file and hands it to a licensed broker, who gives the advice and stays responsible for it. When a client asks something that calls for a recommendation, such as which coverage to choose or which rate to take, Ben says a broker will answer and routes the question.

How does Ben fit with broker licensing rules?

Ben is set up so it never does what requires a licence: no advice, no binding coverage, no loan confirmation. Licensing and disclosure rules differ by province, state and country, so we configure its wording and handoffs with you, against your obligations. Compliance stays with your brokerage; we do not claim any regulatory certification for the agent.

Does it work for both insurance and mortgages?

Yes. We configure your products, the information to collect for each one and the document checklist for each file type. An auto quote, a commercial policy and a mortgage pre-approval each get their own questions and their own list of documents to chase.

Can Ben bind a policy or confirm a rate?

No, never. Ben can share general information you have approved, such as what a deductible is, but it does not bind coverage, quote a final premium or confirm a loan. Anything that commits the brokerage, or that the client will rely on to make a decision, goes to the broker with the file and the conversation attached.

How long does setup take?

An agent that answers and captures enquiries goes live in 1 to 2 weeks. If you also want it connected to your CRM, your calendar and automated follow-ups, plan on 3 to 4 weeks. Everything is done remotely over video calls and written updates, in English or French, so your location does not change the timeline.

How much does Ben cost?

Setup costs CAD 3,000 to 7,500 (roughly USD 2,100 to 5,300), then CAD 750 to 1,500 per month (roughly USD 530 to 1,060), before taxes. The monthly plan includes reasonable usage; exceptional volumes are agreed in advance. The exact figure depends on how many of your tools the agent connects to, and it is written down before we start.
